GRACE WHITE GLASS PRODUCTS ARE MADE ENTIRELY IN THE USA
Flameworked: These knobs are fashioned using tools and a torch on Borosilicate glass. This technique offers extreme detail, and can be made 3 dimensional. It also has the largest color range. The more complex creations can take hours to complete.
Hot: These pieces are made using hundreds of years old glassblowing and solid working techniques, freehand on a blowpipe. The artist gathers glass from a furnace, adds color to the surface and shapes/tools the glass to achieve the final shape. No molds are employed so there will always be slight variations in shape among pieces purchased as matching sets.
Kiln-Formed: This type of glass hardware construction offers several different styles. It ranges from the simplest, and most common, method where two stacked pieces of glass are unified by heat to the most complex that involves making a shape from either wax or clay and then casting it with special high-heat plaster to create a single use mold.
